Christy Day Executive Director
Christy Day is the Executive Director and has worked professionally in the field of substance abuse and mental health treatment for over 20 years. She is a United States Army veteran and has worked in veteran-specific homeless programs as well as having extensive experience working in both non-profit and for-profit treatment centers throughout Southern California. Christy received her Bachelor of Science degree in 1999 from Pacific Christian College in the field of Human Development and went on to receive her Master’s Degree in Social Work from California State University, Long Beach.
Michael Connard Program Director
Michael’s unwavering commitment to recovery from addiction is the foundation of his position as Program Director at Daylight. He has worked professionally in Drug and Alcohol Treatment since 2009. Michael has held several positions within the addiction treatment industry ranging from Substance Abuse Counselor, Case Manager, Supervisor, Treatment Facility Administrator and his current position as Program Director. Michael’s experience reflects evidence-based practices for non-profit, for-profit, and California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation Substance Abuse Programs. He has always adopted a hands-on approach when dealing with those who suffer from substance use and is committed to seeing his clients live successful lives and break the chains of addiction. In addition to being a state certified substance abuse counselor, Michael received his Associates of Science degree in Alcohol and Drug Counseling from Mt. San Antonio College and is currently pursuing his Bachelors of Social Work.

Cyndy Smith Substance Abuse Counselor
Cyndy is a state Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CADC1) who has been working in addiction for several years. Cyndy obtained her A.A. in Behavioral Sciences and Sociology and is continuing her journey in psychology. Cyndy has a personal investment in the field and teaches skills related to relapse prevention and recovery. She demonstrates her expertise through case management, individual sessions and group therapy.
